Oleg Kovalenko, MD, has recently joined the Capital Pediatric Cardiology group, and Sutter Medical Center in Sacramento, California. Dr. Kovalenko received his medical degree from Dnepropetrovsk State Medical Academy in Ukraine and has since practiced in the US.
Dr. Kovalenko has recently moved to Sacramento all the way from Buffalo, NY, where he was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology at the University of Buffalo, and the Director of Pediatric Arrhythmia service at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
He has completed his pediatric cardiology fellowship at Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital in Cleveland, OH and his fellowship in pediatric Arrhythmia management at the University of Michigan. Dr. Kovalenko’s clinical interests include the treatment of arrhythmias in children and young adults, Pacemaker/ICD implantation, diagnosis and treatment of acquired and congenital heart problems. is also fluent in English, Russian, and Ukrainian.
