Olha discovered photography back in college and realized that the camera allows her to express her emotions and transform her vision into a form of visual art. In 2003, she turned a beloved hobby into a paying job. She is now a well-known commercial, fashion and wedding photographer who shoots for a number of elite magazines, events and fashion shows.
Which qualities most contributed to your success?
Determination, hard work and the fact that I love my job! This inspires me to perfect my technique and keep up with developing trends in my industry.
What is your greatest passion?
Marilyn Monroe said, “Give a girl the right shoes, and she can conquer the world.” I agree with this saying. Buying new shoes is definitely my passion along with buying new photography equipment; although the latter
is a very expensive hobby.
What do you enjoy spending money on?
I absolutely love to travel! Travel expenses are the only ones that actually make you richer.
Why do you love your career?
It challenges me to be better and learn new things. It also allows me to meet lots of new people and get positive vibes. I get to shoot beautiful scenery, family celebrations and cheerful people – all these energize and inspire me.
Being a woman in business is:
Great because I get to meet lots of interesting people, do what I love for
a living and realize myself as an artist.
Challenging since my work schedule is inconsistent and gets pretty hectic. It is also a very expensive field. Photography equipment is incredibly pricey. Most of it is also pretty heavy and bulky, which makes it hard to carry and set-up for a tiny lady like myself.
